Are you always unable to find that pearl necklace you put on last week? Or that piece of tiny earrings you wore for last night’s party?  Can you easily find your favorite piece of jewelry when you need it for a special occasion? Or you still spend time looking for it?  Well, you don’t have to worry anymore.  All you need to do is get a jewelry armoire to keep your favorite and precious jewels in the most stylish and effective way.

A jewelry armoire need not be as big as those in Buckingham Palace’s special room, where her Majesty keeps her collection of jewelries. As long as it will store most of your precious stones, beads, necklace, bangles or bracelet properly, it will serve its purpose. In short all your precious jewelry collection goes in here. “Armoire”, a French word initially implied gun storage or a cabinet for the safe keeping of guns and ammunition.  In our contemporary time, an armoire now refers to a tall cabinet, typically with doors, drawers, and shelves to securely keep any valuable items in a fashionable and organized manner. There are also wardrobe armoires, entertainment armoires and just lately even computer armoires that can be purchased from any furniture shop or specialty stores.

Choosing your jewelry armoires is not as daunting as you may think.  The first thing you must do is choose the base material that you want your armoire to be made of.  Know the difference between wood, non-wood, and wood look alike. From there, decide which suits your needs and budget.  If you like your jewelry armoire to put on more personality and charm over time, it will be obvious that a real solid wood jewelry armoire is what you need.  A good number of real wood jewelry armoires are crafted from maple, pine, and oak, you can also decide to choose from imperial cherry red maples, timeless yellow brown oaks or mission brown cedar and the less expensive yellow pine.

If you like the look of an engineered MDF material lined-up with wood veneers and laminates, you can go for handcrafted (hand-painted and hand-carved) jewelry armoire products which look like wood (non-wood and pretend wood) that cost less. If your budget can afford, go for the real wood armoires as sometimes they can be expensive.

After this is considered, the next thing is to determine where your jewelry armoire will be placed. Will your armoire rest next to a classic piece of mahogany furniture in your bedroom? If so, how much space is available? Do you want it to blend with the other pieces of furniture or do you want it to stand out?

You should also determine the main purpose of your jewelry armoire.  A tall chest with drawers that swings open to hang necklaces and pearls will be suitable for keeping jewelries only. While a vanity armoire with mirror and soft-cushioned seat will be perfect if you want a place to sit down, put your makeup on and try your jewels to match your dress.   GP
